Phtos of All Gore | Stupid Politician Quotes

Al Gore is a former U.S. Senator, Vice President, and Democratic Presidential Nominee. After serving in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1977 to 1985, Gore was elected to the Senate from Tennessee in 1984, holding the seat until 1993. As a senator, he was noted for his interest in technology, arms control and the environment, authoring books such as Earth in the Balance (1992), which highlighted the dangers of climate change long before it became mainstream.

In 1992, Gore was chosen as Bill Clinton's  running mate and he went on to serve two terms as the 45th Vice President of the United States (1993–2001.) In 2000, Gore ran for president as the Democratic nominee, winning the popular vote but narrowly losing the Electoral College to George W. Bush after a contested Florida recount and a Supreme Court decision.

Following his political career, Gore became a global climate activist, earning a Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his work with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and for raising public awareness through projects such as the film An Inconvenient Truth.
